The studio
Games made after dark.
Midknight Entertainment Ltd. is an independent game studio in Nova Scotia, Canada. The name carries both halves of what we make: the knight — small games with real craft behind them — and the midnight — the hours they actually get made in.
The range is deliberate. One of our games is a pastel puzzle about stacking sleepy cats; another is five night shifts at a highway weigh station where the paperwork is the only thing between you and what's in the trucks. Cozy and creeping are both things the night does well, and we don't see a reason to pick just one.
How we work
Small games, finished properly. No energy meters, no pay-to-win, no dark patterns — when one of our games sells something, it says what it is and stays bought. We'd rather ship one fair game a year than a dozen machines for your attention.
Reading the board
Every game on this site carries a moon. Full means it's released and you can play it today. Gibbous means it's in active development. A thin crescent means it's coming — still mostly in the dark, but on the board.
Press, players, or someone who'd like to work together —say hello.
